Marvin Baker

Marvin was born in 1951 on the Mission reservation in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He's a member of the Coast Salish Nation, a tribe that inhabits the southern region of British Columbia. At the age of 15, he was taught to carve by Howard Williams and has been carving two important family crests, the Raven and Wolf, ever since. He prefers mediums such as wood, burls, ivory and bone to create sculptures and Totem Poles.
